I actively engage in scholarly service, believing that such efforts play a critical role in sustaining robust academic institutions and supporting meaningful scholarly impact.

Editorial Service - I serve on the International Editorial Board of the journal Mountain Research and Development.

Advisory Roles - I serve in an advisory capacity with The UN International Year of Glacier Preservation, The American Alpine Club’s Climate Task Force, Guardians of the Ice, and Alpinist Magazine.

Academic Advancement Review: I am member of the College of Reviewers for the Canada Research Chairs program.

Scholarly Network Development - I have been active in the developing several scholarly networks, including in my role as the Leader of the Canadian Mountain Assessment, co-founder of the Environmental Change and Transformations Network (ECTN) at the Liu Institute for Global Issues, and as a coordinator of the IRES Seminar Series at the University of British Columbia.

Peer-Review - I have served as a peer-reviewer for Cambridge University Press, Nature Sustainability, Annals of the American Association of Geographers, Transactions of the Institute of British Geographers, One Earth, Climatic Change, Climate and Development, Environmental Research Letters, Environment and Planning A, Environment and Planning E, Regional Environmental Change, Current Opinion in Environmental Sustainability, Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment, Global and Planetary Change, PLOS One, the Journal of Mountain Science, and Mountain Research and Development. I have also served as an Expert Reviewer for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and a book proposal reviewer for Springer.
